UHMW Tape Pressure Sensitive Adhesive Tape/UPE Tape

ESONE’s UHMW tape is made from ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMH) film with a molecular weight exceeding 9 million, coated with either acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesive or rubber adhesive.

Advantages

ESONE UHMW tape exhibits excellent abrasion resistance and has a low coefficient of friction, making it an ideal protection for surfaces or bearings that experience heavy wear. Additionally, ESONE UPE tape is more economical than PTFE tapes. The high-tack rubber adhesive adheres readily to most dry, clean surfaces, firmly anchoring the product in place, even in the high heat ranges noted in this data sheet.

Specification

The standard widths for the rolls are 290 mm, 610 mm, and others, with lengths customizable as per requirements. The rolls can be slit to any desired width. This tape is backed with a PE release liner, which protects the adhesive and makes it easy to use.

Applications

ESONE UPE tapes are ideal for creating an abrasion-resistant, anti-stick, and anti-friction surface at temperatures up to 107°C (225°F). They are commonly used to line chutes like spray booth liners, tank or bin liners, flat conveyor guide rails and chutes. Additionally, UHMW film tape is frequently applied to guide rails in glass bottling plants to reduce noise levels. This tape is also effective for replacing desk drawer bearings, ensuring smooth and friction-free drawer movement.
