Fluoropolymer Film

Fluoropolymer film comes in three types:

  1. Extruded Films: Produced using the extrusion process, this category includes PFA film, FEP film, PVDF film, ETFE film, and ECTFE film, among others.
  2. Casting Films: Made through casting, with PTFE casting film being a prominent example.
  3. Skived Films: These films are created by skiving, or slicing, from larger blocks of fluoropolymer. Skived films are typically used in applications requiring precise thickness and excellent mechanical properties.

Each type of fluoropolymer film offers unique characteristics suited for various industrial applications.

ESONE’s PTFE Casting Film is crafted entirely from pure PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene) using a cast manufacturing method. This film can be produced as either a multi-layered or single-layer film, making it versatile for a wide range of applications. It is specifically engineered to withstand exposure to chemicals, heat, and mechanical stress, where low friction properties are essential. This makes it particularly suitable for environments where gases or corrosive liquids may be present, especially at elevated temperatures.

Skived Film

PTFE Skived Film

PTFE skived film is made from high-quality polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) and manufactured through a skiving process, which involves slicing thin sheets from a larger block of PTFE. This film is known for its exceptional properties, making it suitable for a wide range of applications.

The excellent insulating properties and low friction characteristics of skived PTFE films make them an ideal choice for manufacturing processes and electronic release applications. They are also commonly used in storage tank liners, septa cap liners, and diaphragms for pumps and valves.

Our extensive product range includes various types of skived PTFE films tailored to meet specific customer needs. This portfolio features Virgin PTFE, modified PTFE, and PTFE compounds. Additionally, we offer a bondable version with superior etching on one or both sides, along with various surface treatment options.
